Sandwiches Revisited—Burger and Pickles


The Burger

  • 350 gr lean steak mince
  • 1/2 a small onion
  • 1 handfull of breadcrumbs (do not use the ready made ones homemade ones work better)
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • savory (a generous pinch)
  • cracked pepper

mix it all into a dough and form the burgers

throw the rest of the onion and some garlic and fresh herbs in a pan and fry them

Meanwhile: the bread and pickles

prepare what ever burger bun you like

I prefer sourdoughs or in this case ciabatta roll

Pile on a plate

some freshly cut onion

pickled cucumbers

Sauerkraut (raw)

Pickled Beetroot


Add the meat and enjoy!
