My Favourite Buttermilk & Raisin Scones

3 cups of heavy bread flour

1 egg

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp baking soda

250 ml buttermilk

40 gr butter

1- 1,5 cups of raisins (I tend to add as many raisins as the dough can deal with)

put egg in a mixing bowl and beat it lightly

add flour make dent in flour add baking powder & soda

rub butter over it

add buttermilk

mix it all

add raisins


preheat oven Gas level 7 (200 C°)

form small balls of the dough (depending how big you want the scones, mine made about 9 pieces)

bake for 15 – 20 minutes (as usual I cannot use our touchy oven as a standard)
